Canvas Laundry Bags Compared With Polyester

In commercial laundry use, polyester is the laundry bag of choice as canvas laundry bags, which appear to be tough, are not as easy to wash. Heavy duty polyester is more durable and easy to use. The polyester bags are easier to dry and take up less space when not in use. Canvas bags are often quite rigid and have a coating to make them water resistant. This is a bad idea for a laundry bag which is likely to hold damp contents as contents will quickly go mouldy. It also makes it difficult to wash and dry the bag. The recommendation is to use heavy duty polyester bags which are breathable and easy to wash.
